Its tower is the second tallest church tower in Romania, with a wide view over the roofs to the mountains.
About the place
The church took its present form between 1350 and 1520, on the site of a Romanesque basilica. The tower is about 74 m tall, with a viewing level at about 55 m. Inside are tombstones, a bronze font, a large Crucifixion painting by Johannes von Rosenau and a great organ from 1914. Renovation work ended in 2021.
Tickets cost 10 lei for the church, 10 lei for the tower or 15 lei for both. Pupils, students and pensioners pay 5 lei. There is a service on Sunday at 10 am and a concert on Saturday at 7 pm.
